Our old world…

Our old world… How much Christchurch Earthquake (New Zealand) affected us? At lunchtime today (local New Zealand time) a significant 6.3 magnitude earthquake (classed as an aftershock to last September’s 7.1 magnitude quake) has hit the city of Christchurch in New Zealand’s South Island. Communication is extremely difficult and a state of emergency has been declared. There has been a number of reports of significant structural damage to many central Christchurch buildings including hotels, there is no power or water and there is damage to telephone networks. The Airport has been closed with all flights being diverted to Queenstown, Dunedin or Invercargill. Due to this situation, our bookings are only 2 and not huge value (1207661 = 85 USD and 1207786 = 129 USD), now both of them are already cancelled and of course without penalty.

Unrest in Lybia…

Although there is a problem in the ME area, we still get some bookings from this region like yesterday we got 5 bookings for UAE, 1 for Israel, 1 for Syria. Total booking for yesterday increased from last Wed by about 65% and among this amount we had 3 bookings for Malta which is our unusual destinations!
